Car window tinting in Madison

Why tint your car windows?

  • A cooler car

Film blocks infrared heat, so the cabin and the seats stay cooler in an Alabama summer.

  • Less glare

Low sun and headlights are easier on your eyes on the commute.

  • More privacy

Darker back windows keep the back seat and what’s on it out of sight.

  • Blocks UV

Union film blocks 99.99% of UV, protecting your skin and the inside of your car.

How it works

How we tint your car

We clean every window, cut Union film to the exact shape of your glass and fit it on the inside, edge to edge.

You pick the film and the shade. We check your choice against Alabama law before anything is cut.

What’s included

  • Side windows and the back window
  • Union Carbon IR or Ceramic IR film
  • Any shade from 5% to 70%
  • A sun strip on the windshield if you want one
  • Old tint taken off when needed
  • A lifetime film warranty

What decides the price

  • The car: how many windows it has and how big they are
  • The film: Union Carbon IR or Ceramic IR
  • Whether you want a windshield strip
  • Whether old tint needs taking off first

Send us the car and the windows and we reply with a price. There is no charge for a quote.

Union Window Films

Which Union film is right for you?

Every car we tint gets one of Union’s two car films. Both come in every shade, from the darkest to nearly clear.

  • The everyday choice

    Union Carbon IR

    75%of infrared heat blocked

A carbon film that blocks up to 75% of infrared heat, holds its color and stays black instead of turning purple.

  • The most heat you can block

    Union Ceramic IR

    87%of infrared heat blocked

The same carbon base with a ceramic layer that blocks up to 87% of infrared heat — the most heat control Union film offers.

Both block 99.99% of UV.

On SUVs, vans and pickups, any shade can go behind the driver; the front doors stay at 35% or lighter.

Booking

What happens when you book

Most cars take between one and five hours, depending on the car and the windows.

  1. Inside the Supreme Window Tinting studio: the yellow floor border, the honeycomb lights and the shelving wall

    Book your appointment

Send us the year, make and model and which windows. We confirm a time and the film.

  2. A gray Mercedes-AMG GT in the Supreme Window Tinting studio

We clean the glass and cut the film

Every window is cleaned, then the film is cut to the shape of your glass.

  3. Dark tinted car glass reflecting the trees and sky

    We fit the film

The film goes on the inside of the glass, edge to edge, with nothing sticking out.

  4. A silver Mercedes-Benz G-Class with tinted windows parked on a street in north Alabama

    We check it with you

We walk around the car with you and go over how to look after the film.

What to tell us: the car’s year, make and model, which windows you want tinted, and whether there is old tint to take off.

Afterwards: keep the windows up for a few days while the film settles. A little haze or a few small water spots is normal and clears on its own. Clean with a soft cloth and an ammonia-free cleaner.

Most cars take between one and five hours, depending on the car, how many windows and whether old tint has to come off first. We tell you the time when you book.

On a car, the front side windows, back side windows and back window must let through at least 32% of light. On SUVs, vans and pickups the windows behind the driver can be any shade. The windshield takes a strip on the top 6 inches.

Both look the same and block 99.99% of UV. Ceramic IR blocks more infrared heat (up to 87%, against up to 75% for Carbon IR), so it suits you if your car sits in the sun or you drive a lot.

Yes. Our film carries a lifetime warranty against cracking, bubbling, peeling and fading.

Keep them up for a few days while the film settles. We tell you exactly how long for your car when we hand it back.

Yes. If your car has old or purple tint, we take it off and clean the glass before the new film goes on. Tell us when you ask for a quote.
